Our Process

It’s an exciting time to get your project moving! If you would like to understand our process and be able to envision your next steps read below:

 1. Call us

We will discuss your motivation for the work, timeline, age and location of the home/office/new build site, scope of work, and if you have gone through the process before. Some clients already have drawings done by themselves, a designer or an architect which they can pass on to us for more information before the site visit. We will book a meeting where we can discuss next steps.

2. INITIAL Meeting

We meet on site to further discuss your vision, goals, needs, budget and our contract. Renovations require knowledge of pre-existing conditions, so a site visit to assess the existing structure and infrastructure is needed to better price the project. When building a new home we can meet at our office or the potential site location. We explain the construction process for the project and discuss if there would be a need for engineering and permits. A preliminary budget estimate will be presented shortly after the meeting.

3. Design

In the event design has not been completed for your renovation or new build and the scope of the project requires detailed drawings, we would suggest a designer/architect for you to meet. We have worked with fantastic professionals over the years but are happy to work with one of your choosing as well. All necessary permit and construction drawings will be completed. At this stage the more detailed the design the tighter the detailed budget can become. Should a client not have answers to selections (such as doors, flooring, windows, tile) we provide budget allowances for quality material.

4. Detailed Budget

After a client has made the decision to work with Quadrant and contracts are signed we would then proceed to tender all work to our trusted, long serving sub-trades and suppliers. A full audit of all quotes is reviewed and compiled into the detailed budget. We identify value engineering opportunities by suggesting changes in materials and/or scope of work. Once complete we will meet to present our comprehensive budget estimate for review. With accurate information on budget costs at this stage we can tweak any design choices or scope of work and finalize the construction plan.
